In addition to his engineering and management duties, Dr. Jacobs is also lecturing Electronics and Digital Systems on a part-time basis at the Central University of Technology.
During his career life, Dr. Jacobs consulted and performed numerous projects for the surrounding Free State shafts and Gold Plants as well as general instrumentation projects for specific areas of the greater Free Gold, where deemed necessary. Before joining RJE, he worked for different companies as Instrumentation Engineer, Control Engineer, Sr. Control & Instrumentation Engineer, Project engineer, Project Manager and Engineering Manager.
Dr. Jacobs's qualifications include: National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, National Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Master's Diploma in Technology: Electrical Engineering, Bachelor Degree in Electronics, Master Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering and PhD in Electrical Engineering.
Dr. Jacobs is registered as a Professional Technologist with the Engineering Council, as a Member with the Institute of Professional Engineering Technologists, and as a Senior Member with the Institute of Measurement and Control.
