Professor John Berti ( Australia ), P.E., MSc. is a Senior Telecommunications Engineer with over 20 years of Industrial Experience in Optical fibre cable systems , Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH), Plesichronous Digital Hierarchy (PDH) and LAN/WAN IP communications systems , Network Management systems , DWDM (Dense Wave Division Multiplexing) systems , Microwave radio systems (PDH) and Telecommunication System Design (NMS, PDH, SDH, IP, DSLAM, voice, optical, radio) .

 
 

He is currently the Director of Real Engineering & Science Co.

Before joining the Real Engineering & Science Co. , Professor Berti was the Engineering Manager of CommTel NS P/L . Prior to this, he was the Senior Systems Engineer for Olex Cables where he was responsible for system design , implementation/integration , project management , QC and testing . He also experienced working as Project , Systems Engineer and Director to Scientific Technology Company , Normalair Garret (aerospace) , and Aranda Applied Research and Technology wherein he has handled activities such as electronics design , prototype fabrication , construction fabrication and business administration.

Professor Berti's vast experiences were not confined to the industry alone. He was also able to contribute his skills in the academe, specifically in the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology . He became the Technical Director responsible for electronics design and construction fabrication , Professor and Tutor for undergraduate and service subjects in the said institution.

Within his industrial career life, Professor Berti largely contributed in the supply of geographically diverse NMS for Telstra Clear PDH network in New Zealand , design , integration and installation of NCC SDH STM-1 OF transmission system for Electricity Authority of Saudi Arabia , design of switch , router network for Yellow River Project in China , design of Microwave radio link for Air traffic control system and tender for major Broadband HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial Cable) system in consortium with VisionStream (Telstra) , Marubini (Japan) , Sapura (Malaysia) . He was the Certifier for Reef of STM-16 SDH system along the upper east cost of Australia and in the NEXTGEN DWDM SDH network (STM-256) using Lucent DWDM equipment .

Professor John Berti has Masters degrees in Electronics (Telecommunications Engineering) and Business Administration and Bachelor degrees in Electronics Engineering and Applied Science . He is a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) .
