Petroleum Technology in a Green Environment

Mr. Henry Kuiper ( The Netherlands ), PE, BSc, MSc, is a Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer with over 20 years international experience in the onshore and offshore oil and gas production industries.


He worked as Project and/or Lead Engineer for feasibility studies, front-end designs , detailed designs , as well as for the construction and commissioning phases of projects. He has broad knowledge in instrumentation and controls . His special skills include Gas & Oil Custody Measurement systems , gas turbine and compressor controls including digital Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) systems and High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems (HIPPS) . He is currently the Projects Commissioning Manager of SHELL .

During his career life, Mr. Kuiper worked as a Senior Instrument Engineer for TEBODIN , a Control & Instrument Engineer for CONCEPT , a Senior Process Controls Engineer for CONOCO , a Commissioning Manager for ISOPER BV , a Principal Process Controls & Instrument Engineer for NEDERLANDSE GASUNIE before joining SHELL OIL as their Projects Commissioning Manager .

Mr. Kuiper has Masters and Bachelors degrees in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from The Academy for Marine Engineering ( The Netherlands ).
