Course Description
The purpose of this course is to provide training and insight in advanced applications and techniques for GC, along with their application to practical industry and laboratory problems. The course will include classroo m instruction along with a question and answer session for proble m s encountered by the participants in the class. All participants ar e e ncouraged to bring issues and concerns to the course for discussion.

Course Objectives
To introduce delegates to the advanced principles and practices of gas chro m atography and understand how the individual ele m ents interrelate. To be able to co m petently use and develop m ethods on a gas chro m atograph to produce robust and valid analytical data. Upon the successful co m pletion of the course, participants will have a detailed co m prehension of the following:

•  GC Require m ents

•  GC Separation

•  Capillary Operation

•  Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis 

Who Should Attend
This course is planned for Chemist, Biochemist, Clinical Chemists, Environmentalists, Petroleum Chemists, Technicians, and others involved in natural products and occupational health and safety. The course assu m es a working knowledge of GC: one year of Laboratory experience, a BA/BS in chemistry, or completion of our basic GC course ( LE160 Gas Chro m atography Techniques & Troubleshooting )

Course Certificate
Petrolab Engineering certificate will be issued to all attendees completing minimum of 75% of the total tuition hours of the course.
